"Biogas East is following in the footsteps of sister organisations Biogas West and Biogas South by aiming to encourage municipalities, producers and users of biomethane in Sweden to work closer together to improve the use and availability of biomethane," explains project leader Beatrice Torgnyson Klemme.
Beatrice says Biogas East has a target of helping to increase the number of biomethane filling stations in the region to around a hundred by the year 2020. It is already making progress. When the goal was set earlier this year there were 37, there are now 40.
