Austrian bus company's eco-drivers cut fuel consumption by 4.6%
All 2,900 bus drivers of the Austrian OEBB-Postbus company were trained in fuel efficient driving. The results? An annual 2 million litres of diesel saved or 5,000 tons of CO2 avoided.
Fuel economy training sessions for the company's bus drivers were held by the Austrian automobile club ÖAMTC. To make sure bus drivers keep doing their best to keep their left feet under control, a yearly fuel economy competition is organised amongst the ÖBB-Postbus's drivers.
