Volkswagen gets in the electric mood
At a conference addressing the role of transport fuels for a sustainable transport system, the electric vehicle received strong support from Volkswagen.
Today, a VW representative gave the attendants of the conference, organised by the Austrian organisation A3PS, some insight into the company's strategy. In Vienna, he made clear that the Wolfsburg-based company is a strong believer in the potential of the hybrid/electric and full-electric vehicle.
In other news, CNet reports that "Sanyo and Volkswagen announced an agreement on Wednesday to make lithium-ion batteries for hybrid electric vehicles, turning up the competition in the field for energy-efficient cars."
