Peterbilt to roll out hybrid trucks this summer
Peterbilt Motors Company will commence production of two medium-duty hybrid trucks as of coming summer. The US government rewards the vehicles' efficient performances with a tax break of up to USD12,000.
Green Car Congress reports: "Both the Peterbilt Model 330 and Model 335 Hybrid Electric vehicles feature the Eaton Hybrid Power system and provide up to a 30% improvement in fuel economy in an urban driving cycle. The Model 335 Hybrid Electric utilizes these same components to provide up to a 60% improvement in overall fuel efficiency, when configured for utility applications." Read all about it here.
