Saving money makes people buy green cars
Two-thirds of prospective new car buyers will be looking to buy a greener vehicle in the next twelve months. Primarily to save costs, according to a poll amongst WhatCar? readers.
From the article: "(...) 47% of purchasers say they will be buying a greener car for financial reasons, while only 19% say environmental issues are the main factors for their next car."
Although we don't know how many prospective new car buyers have participated in the WhatCar? poll and who these people are, it does support the idea that without the cost advantage most car buyers will not buy greener cars. Finance Ministers of this world, green up those tax systems!
