Connecting Clean Mobility Conference

For conference coverage, have a look at the Event forums and coverage section.

Want to test-drive the vehicles, see the HAN university hydrogen lab, meet the people and share experiences or brave new ideas? The Connecting Clean Mobility Conference provides the opportunity. The conference brings together Dutch and German stakeholders, from policy makers and municipal officers to vehicle fleet managers, fuel station operators, and car dealers. Hydrogen, alternative fuels and clean buses are the main topics.

Parallel sessions
In five rounds, parallel sessions range from ‘Everything you would like to know about driving on natural gas, but are afraid to ask’ through ‘Perspectives for higher blends under the biofuels quota laws’, to a Biofuel Cities Expert Workshop ‘Guidelines for successful biofuel application at local level’ for invitees.

All sessions focus on the opportunities for the the Netherlands and North Rhine-Westphalia to either combine forces or learn from each other. ‘Decentralised production of biofuels: Opportunities for the region?’ for instance. Does biomass for biofuels have to be imported or can Germany’s agricultural sector, which has been producing biomass for fuels for years and the Dutch ports, chemical industry and logistical capabilities together create new opportunities?

Networking
Needless to say, connecting regions and connecting people is the main objective of the conference. There will be ample opportunity for networking.

Highlight

Minds in Motion will be Networking the networks.
The overall aim is to create new links between networks, such as the Platform for Sustainable Mobility (NL), Kraftstoffe und Antriebe der Zukunft (NRW) and Energy and Environmental Technology (Gelderland, NL). The Province of Gelderland wants to take a leading role in bringing about sustainable mobility, so it will be interesting to hear their plans.

Discussions
Our digital forum offers the conference participants a place to meet in cyberspace prior to the start of the conference, to start discussing issues and to prepare project ideas. At the conference itself, the session will be structured on the basis of the forum discussions.

This is the place to ‘meet and greet’ and to continue subsequent discussions on a person-to-person basis.
