Dutch plan nationwide network of alternative fuels filling stations

A subsidy from the Ministry of Transport should boost development of a nationwide network of ethanol and natural gas filling stations.

In the Netherlands, ethanol and CNG (compressed natural gas) are currently only available at a handful of locations.

Before 1 September 2010, the general public should have access to another 69 ethanol and 31 CNG filling locations throughout the country. To help make this happen, the Ministry of Transport has made available a € 1.8 million investment subsidy.
