After searching for a host metropole for its study tour series, Biofuel Cities has found a stop for its next visit - Tuebingen and its neighbouring towns in the German state of Baden-Württemberg.
Homemade biodiesel
The city of Tübingen runs its municipal waste fleet on biodiesel produced in the region.
Tour participants will find out how the process works, what local economic benefits are generated, and how different stakeholders work together for a win-win situation.
Final tour
As part of the Biofuel Cities project, ICLEI – Local Governments for Sustainability – in cooperation with the Informationsinitiative Biokraftstoffe Süd, are organising this final study tour, which takes place from 23 to 24 October. The event is aimed at industrial / commercial fleet owners, local authorities, agricultural end-users and public transport companies.
The study tour is free of charge and only for participants of the Biofuel Cities European Platform (registration is at: www.biofuel-cities.eu).
